An Elephant Parade : Hand Carved Stamp
Life is quiet this week. My two oldest are away at camp and I am missing their noise. But I am hoping to get a lot accomplished. Realistically, I should be spending less time cleaning up since our house is minus two bodies but for some reason my house is magically messing itself up. Or maybe that is my 3 year old doubling up on her messes.
Creating the Stamp
I have a set of block stamps from India but due to not having all the right materials I have been unsuccessful at stamping a clear image. So, I decided to carve my own that I knew would stamp when I was done.
And with a piece of scrap, I made a little border. I also used scrap to carve the leaves but I forgot to take a picture.
I used PaperArtsy Chalk Paints to color in the images.
I decided to add a elephant parade to the bottom of an envelope.
Here is the back of my envelope.
Today’s tea is berry pear-a-dise. It is completely herbal but I occasionally add some white tea leaves to lighten the flavor.
I am finally joining the tea ladies after several weeks of a blog break. You can join as well over at Elizabeth and Bleubeard.
Happy Tea Day,
