Art Journaling

Hello! I really am still alive despite being gone for months. My little is now 4 months and growing like a weed. I am enjoying every precious moment I have with her, knowing it will be my last time to experience all the ‘firsts’ with a baby.
I was recently published in the Summer 2016 edition of Art Journaling by Stampington and Co. I have two articles in this magazine. One features my Grief Journal from my previous miscarriage and the second article features my Vintage Circus themed  altered book. If you get a chance to read them I would love to hear what you think. (Don’t mind the skull mug. The nurse in me finds it exciting. Not to mention it is  the perfect size for those large cups of tea!)
I thank you all for your sweet comments on the birth of our baby girl. She is taking a lot of my time up and now that her brothers are home for the summer my mommy time has diminished to a big, fat, whopping ZERO. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am hoping to get back on the creative wagon in the next few months.Perhaps then I shall have more to share. For now I will try to be content dreaming up projects in my head!

  • How lovely to see you here, and many congratulations on the publication, but even more on the arrival of your daughter (I’m aware I’m behind on that one!). The pages in the magazine look beautiful.

  • Your articles were fantastic in the art journalling magazine. Congrats on your new baby and after reading your article my condolances on your other loss. Beautiful journalling!

  • I loved both your articles! You do an amazing job and your grief journal really helped me with a recent loss and it’s a great idea. Thanks you so much for sharing and congradulations on the birth of your daughter . I’m not sure how you made the journal with the Manila envelopes but it’s a great idea! I love anything vintage and the circus book is beautiful .

  • I saw the Art Journaling magazine yesterday and so loved your work in both of your articles, but especially the grief journal. Even though I am out of work it was hard to resist it! I loved the quotes you chose and the art was spectacular and such an inspiration. I’m sorry for your loss.
I love the banner you made for your baby girl – congratulations! She is beautiful.

  • I am new to your blog and reading your grief journal made me sad and yet I remembered what a Buddist priest said about the sadness of a miscarriage. He said that the little soul wasn’t ready to come and be with you at this time. Even though your miscarriage was a baby boy named Faolin, maybe that soul returned to you as that sweet baby girl. Just something to consider. I love your grief journal and it has given me some ideas on to deal with some pain I’m dealing with right now. Thank you for the inspiration and kiss that sweet baby for me.🙏❤️😊
