Chocolate Is the Bomb! : Daily Art Practice

Couch Talk

We had some beautiful weather this weekend following a week of rain and cold temperatures. Apparently, word is one has to wait until after Mother’s Day to put in plants to make sure the threat of frost is past.

Daily Art Practice

Last month’s recipe swap was a brown food. I chose Chocolate Peanut Butter Bombs, our family LOVES these! Since I have to send out 2-3 recipes each month, I tried something different this time. I used Canva to create a 4 x 6 version of the recipe. All I had to do was print it out, trace it and start painting. It saved me SO much time not having to sketch everything 3x.

Tea Day

I am joining the Tea Day ladies, hosted by Elizabeth and Bleubeard. My Tea today is Celestial Seasons Earl Grey Creme.

Happy Tea Day,

Kate

  • You can NEVER go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter. Your chocolate-peanut butter bombs sound delicious. And I really like your recipe card. And this is a beautiful tea cup too. Have you planted anything in your garden happy T day and week ahead Kate. hugs-Erika

  • Your little tea cup reminds me of some tea sets that my mother had — originally they had belonged to some other family members, who had received them for wedding gifts in the 1920s. I think those iridescent china sets were very popular back then. Your tea pot is also very neat, but I don’t remember ever seeing one quite like it.
    best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com

  • We call it Eisheiligen, holy ice-guys… before we plant lowers. I have some wildflower-seeds for the bees 🙂
Ingo´d bought peanut-butter, it is awful on bread and I thought about using it with meat?
Oh, such a beautiful cup, happy T-Day!

  • Wow, that must be a wonderful recipe if those chocolate peanut bombs taste only half as delicious as they look! Your recipe card looks truly beautiful.
You asked whether my daughter will be home from college soon. Well, she got her master in science last September and has been working at the University of Münster since. I don’t think she will move back to the enjoys living in Germany and loves her job. I do miss her a lot, but she needs to live her own life (and so do I) and I’m very proud of what she has accomplished so far.

  • OOh loove ht wonderful painting of the pea nuts bombs with chocolate !! Happy T-day Kate, this is a gorgeous tea cup, really lovely.

  • Mmmm chocolate and Earl Grey Creme tea.. Add some frothy milk or half n half to your Earl Grey Creme and you’ll have a London Fog.. Happy T Day!

  • Great idea on how to do the recipes to send out. And, that recipe sounds yummy! Earl Grey tea is speaking my language! Sorry to be so late. Happy T Day (late)

  • Yumm, that looks nice! I would like to try and make these (or similar) but the Spanish don’t eat peanut butter so it’s not easy to find, only in sports shops, (as energy boosts for athletes) but that is unsweetened peanut butter.
What a beautiful tea pot! The china is gorgeous too. My grandmother used to have cups like that. The china was almost transparent.
    Sorry for the late comment,
    Lisca
