Let’s Travel Together : Travel Journal

Happy Together

Every year the hubby and I go on a little trip to celebrate our anniversary. As a parent of young children, I look forward to the time that we get to spend together. It is amazing how much conversation we can get in without any interruptions. And sometimes it is nice to just sit in each others company without talking. Together we have spent time shopping, taking in shows and visiting quaint historic towns. I thought it would be fun to keep a log of our little journeys together so here is my journal.

This particular entry is of our trip to Pittsburgh, PA last summer. It includes pictures from our visit to FallingWater (a Frank Loyd Wright house), The Art of the Brick (Lego Exhibit) and our dinner cruise. If you want to see more of our trip to Pittsburgh, you can view it HERE.

Creating the Travel Journal

To create the journal cover, I used the Eileen Hull Die and some light weight chipboard. I also used washi tapes, PaperArsty stamps and stickers and papers that I made with my StencilGirl stencils and Gelli Plate.

Tea Day

Today, I am sharing my Green and White Pear tea with China sencha green tea, lung ching green tea, green Yunnan tea, and bai mu dan, flavoring, mango cubes (mango, sugar), pineapple flakes, rosebuds. It is a very light tea with a slight fruity flavor. Yum!

I am sharing my tea with the T ladies over at Elizabeth and Bleubeard.

  • Oh what a lovely journal! Such great memories. It’s so nice that you allow yourselves some time together. Just a few days well spent.
I love the Fallingwater house. I am an architecture buff and this house is one of my favorites. Of course I have never visited in real life but have seen many photos and read many articles about it. I’m so glad you have been able to see it.
The sunset cruise sounds lovely too. So romantic, even though the food did not meet your expectations.

  • When we visited the Eldest last Summer she took us to the Pittsburgh Zoo. I’ll have to make a note to go see Falling Water next time. Your journal is wonderful and I love the way you cantilevered the Falling Water pages. So nice you have a memory book of your trips with your husband. When the kidlets get on your nerves or your starving for adult conversation and no adult is around, you can leaf through your journal. Your tea reminds me of dessert. Happy T Day
