Life Continues : Mixed Media Mini Album
Couch Talk
Last week we received the photos of our projected bathroom remodel. The credit for the photos goes to our designer, CDH Design. It is so much easier to imagine the finished product when you see a 3D model.
We are still waiting for a start date, although the contractors said middle to the end of August. That time is almost come and gone so we will see what happens.
Isn’t the floor neat? It took us a bit of time to figure out the pattern for the floor tile but in the end we went with the triangle arrangement. We have a large bathroom and you can’t imagine the amount of tile we are having to put down.
New Food
The new recipe that I tried this week was Shrimp Curry over a bed of brown rice. We loved it but decided that it needed more shrimp.
StencilGirl Column
I am over at the StencilGirl blog to day featuring pages in my new mini album. Of course, the focus is the StencilGirl stencils that I used throughout the album. You can visit it HERE.
Tea Day
I am joining the T day ladies hosted by Elizabeth and Bleubeard. My tea today is Stash Tea Green Loose Leaf Tea Asian Pear Dragonwell. It sounds delicious and I am excited to try it. I picked this because of the Asian pear. It reminds me of one of my favorite teas from Teavana is Sweet Asian Pear White Tea. If you get a chance to try it you should.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Hi Kate, good luck with your re model of your bathroom I usually can’t visualize so the 3 D is a good idea.
food looks delish as does your tea pick with week -Happy T Kathy
Hi Kate, your bathroom looks great, it’s huge, it looks bigger than my apartment! Have a wonderful week, enjoy your tea, Valerie
You DO have a large bath. Does that mean you are laying your own floor tiles? Good luck with the remodel. You can expect about 40% longer than anticipated, as you are discovering even before the work begins.
Your tea sounds lovely. I guess you can’t get it locally, though. Thanks for sharing your bath remodel and your tea with us for T this Tuesday,
Very cool bathroom. Ha, I just posted a pic of our tiny, sad loo…
Our bathroom has plain black tiles, I love them! At first I thought, black?! And no window, but it is perfect.
Need to take my omega 3 pill. Can´t have shrimp… And I know they are healthy, too, buhuu…
It cooled sadly down here, so, tea-time, too, soon, have a happy T-day!
Remodeling can really be stressful — I think that’s my comment whenever I read a blog about doing it. But the end result is so desirable! The big vanity and storage spaces in your picture look wonderful!
be well… mae at maefood.blogspot.com
That is a giant bathroom to have so many gorgeous fixtures Kate. It is going to be great. Post photos for us as they work please. We pulled the tube out of my upstairs bathroom last summer and it doubled the room, but now we need to do the rest of the room and I am always on the lookout for inspiration. Your shrimp and rice looks yummy. Hope it’s a super T day. hugs-Erika
Wow, your bathroom is going to look amazing! Loving your design 😀. Such yummy food and tea too! Wishing you a very happy T Day! Hugs, Jo x
Such a large bathroom! That would give you so many options to choose from. I like what you’ve decided on 🙂
Happy T Tuesday
Wow, the model is gorgeous! It looks like you found mermaid tile you like. I love the way you plan to use it – as an accent. The floor tile is perfect.
Our master bath is put back together. We just have to finish the work in the garden. I’m sure you can imagine how relieved we are.
Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
That bathroom is gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing the finished product…as I’m sure you are as well. 🙂
Your bathroom is going to be so elegant ~ I can’t wait to see the finished tile, I’m sure you can’t wait either! ~ We can share remodeling stories as we are working on the most of our downstairs.
Ohhh Kate your bathroom looks amazing. I love that the toilet is in a separate room. Yes the floor is to live for. You are right your bathroom his huge. Very nice. Your dinner looks delish as does the tea. Enjoy it.
Sorry I am late calling in Kate. Your bathroom will look amazing and so spacious.
The curry looked delicious, more prawns is always good idea.
Hope you are all well and staying safe.
Yvonne xx
Your 3D bathroom model looks great. I hope they start work on it soon, and then get it done quickly. Your food looks delicious. Happy Belated T-Day!
What a beautiful bathroom. I love the tiles and the stylish colour combination. Very nice. Please keep us updated, so that we can be excited (without the mess, lol) with you. I love the his-and-hers sink. That is typically American. My husband and I share a sink, as we are rarely using the bathroom at the same time. Of course you have two children and then it will be very practical.
What is the space behind the shower going to be used for? Storage?
Again your tea sounds very interesting. And the shrimp curry looks absolutely delicious.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
What a gorgeous bathroom.!! Just love the flow of color and selection of materials to complete the bathroom. It will be beautiful when finished!! The shrimp curry looks yummy. Shrimp is always delicious made with rice or over pasta. Keep Safe!!
That is some bathroom! Can’t wait to see it finished. Happy T Day
