Mind The Gap Envelope
Hello and welcome. Just a quick project to share for Artistic Outpost. I am trying my hand again at mail art. I am going strong when it comes to using what I have on hand. I have not been on a crafting shopping spree in about a year. I had withdrawls for a while as I am sure most of you can imagine. I bought a box of about 100 of these large manila envelopes a while ago when I was participating in a mini album swap. I still have about 80 left so I am working through the box slowly. I could sure use that space for extra storage.
I used the London Underground, Chalk It Up, and Background Elements stamp plates on this envelope along with gesso, ink sprays and run-ons. Thank you for taking the time to stop and look.
I admire your shopping restraint – and you’re certainly creating beautiful work that proves it’s not necessary to keep adding to the stash… this envelope is an absolute delight!

Happy New Year Kate! Love the envelope, awesome.
It looks wonderful. I like the colours and the elements you have included. How are you going to display it?
Gorgeous Kate. Great to see you have started 2014 with a bang! Happy New Year to you.

Isn’t it a wonderful buzz when showing restraint! I have to say that I am incredibly lucky with the stamps and other goodies I receive and do not have to pay a penny for – maybe my restraint wouldn’t be so good if I wasn’t in such a situation!
Like yourself I love to root around the house searching for found papers and scraps, it is such fun.
This is stunning mail art, something I have never really delved into, you make it so appealing. Those stamps could not be more perfect.

P.S. Joined the referral for January with a Huck Finn plaque.
Good for you for showing restraint! Wish I could! Love your envelope…so much to see and enjoy! Love these stamps too!
Oh I wish I could say I have not been on a shopping spree during 2013, but so far in 2014, I have not spent a cent! 🙂 This is beautiful mail art and I love the stamps and layers! Happy New Year!
