Pleasures of Fall: Mixed Media Journal Layout
Fall is my favorite season of the year. Pumpkins, apples, spices…what is not to love about fall? When my boys were little we used pick apples every October with our friends. We had so much fun watching our kids as they carried arm fulls of apples around the orchard. And afterwards we would get hot cider and apple cider donuts. We would bring them home and bake apple pies and applesauce. Such fun memories!
I am surprised that the weather has been so warm, definitely not the crisp air that I am used to for this time of year. We are experiencing a lot of bugs as well. I am instantly attacked by swarms of gnats every time I step outside the door.
So, hopefully soon the seasons will start sinking with the calendar.
Creating the Journal Layout
The background of this layout was created using texture paste and the Art Deco Peacock Feathers Stencil. I used Lindy’s Wake You Up Before You Go Gold and Violaceous Violet in the background. The Boho Mandala Circle Stencil was used to create the flower embellishment.
My stamps in the background are PaperArtsy and 7 Gypsies. I layered some fiber, stamped images, chipboard, a tea bag and a TH Paper Doll.
Lastly, I added some green and white splatters.
