The Mixed Media Artist's Christmas Wish List

The Wish List History

I thought I would share my new mug that my hubby brought back for me from Ireland. Isn’t it fabulous? It is Belleek China that made in Ireland. Now I have a new mug for my tea.
I remember the first year that hubby and I married. We didn’t have a ton of money but we had enough because it was only the two of us. Our first Christmas I was so excited. I am not sure whether he even asked me what I wanted but I think I took for granted that he would be romantic and give me something amazing that I would never forget. Much to my dismay, I received a MP3 player, a candle and a few kitchen items that I needed (because my hubby is always practical.) Unfortunately, I think I was wishing for tickets to my dream vacation or that magical something. I mean, who wants a candle and a spatula for Christmas? As I look back, I should have been more thankful but that was something that I didn’t learn until a few years ago. And that’s a different story…
Thus, the Amazon wish list was introduced into our family. This doesn’t mean I don’t get the occasional much needed household item. Now I might even request it. It just means that hubby no longer has to guess and I will at least get a few things that I really want and wouldn’t otherwise buy. We also use this list for birthdays. In fact, everyone in our household has a Amazon wish list even down to our little one. It makes shopping easier and no guessing for that family member who always seems to buy duplicates. 😉

The Artist’s Best Friend

So, I thought I would share some of the goodies off of my Amazon Wish List with you.  These are items that have caught my eye. They might not be new as I don’t stay up to date with the newest releases. But I have seen them somewhere in my journey through blog land and they have jumped out at me, urging me to play. Whenever I see a item somewhere that interests me, I go straight to Amazon and look for it. If they have it, I add it to my crafting wish list. Because believe it or not I have 6 personal lists. Food/Health, Books, Home/Kitchen, Sewing/Crafting, Clothing/Style and personal.
So, here we go!

Happy Tea Day! I am playing along with Elizabeth today.
Thank you for looking? What are your favorite tools for art journaling?

  • My keyboard is still having a hissy fit and refuses to work much of the time. I would LOVE to leave you a personal message but it takes too long to write an appropriate one. I hope you are having a great day, I’ve seen your latest art, and wish you a happy ____________________ (fill in the blank).

  • That’s a fabulous craft supply wish list, Kate. I have just one Amazon wish list but it’s mostly crafts 😉 Love the stamps and stencils you found. I got those washi tapes on our trip to TX in September as well as white Posca pens. I have oil-based Sharpies and like the white one; but let me warn you. They dry up very quickly if you don’t exactly follow the directions and especially cap them until they click – hard as that is.
I’m clicking through the rest of your list and adding to my wish list. Thank you!
Beautiful Belleek china mug. I love the translucence of Belleek and have a few pieces myself. Hmmm .. wish list item – lol.
    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  • You have an amazinig wish list, I hope that you get to have many of them to use as time goes by.
Your china Irish mug looks beautiful.
    Happy T day wishes.

  • Gosh, that is an enormous list! But it is a good idea to have wish lists. I have an Amazon wish list too but not as extensive as yours. In our family we don’t give each other presents so it is more for myself to remind me.
    The mug is indeed beautiful.
    Happy T-Day,

  • I love your extensive wish list – it gives a lot of scope for loved ones to choose something! I have a short one with Thats Crafty! You made me smile as my ex hubby once bought me an omelette pan! Happy T Day! Chrisx

  • That’s a good wish list. 🙂 Love the story too. My similar one is how the hubby filled my stocking with sponges and was proud because he didn’t spend a lot of money and they took up lots of space. I wasn’t happy. We still joke about that one and every year someone gets a sponge, just because. Happy T day.

  • A wonderful list, I would like to have many of the items you wish for. Have two already, the stencil from Prima (Finnabair) and the Sharpies. Hope you will have many of your wishes fullfilled.

  • That is a fabulous wish list…especially love the stamps and stencils you chose, and of course the journal! Made me smile about your first Christmas gifts…so true. My husband has learned no kitchen appliances for gifts unless I specifically ask for them! lol. sorry I’m so late for tea, hope you had a wonderful – and thankful – week! ♥
